About this programme

A practice-oriented, industry-focused master’s programme designed to produce job-ready engineering leaders who can design, implement, and manage complex digital systems at scale. Available standalone or as the final year of the Integrated 5-year Pathway.

Scope of study

Advanced applied engineering, system-level integration, project management, and innovation — culminating in an Extended Design & Development Project with industry input instead of a traditional thesis.

Key features

  • Strong focus on applied engineering, design, and development rather than pure research
  • Extended industry or applied capstone project (no lengthy academic thesis required)
  • Integration of emerging technologies with business and operational considerations
  • Direct preparation for senior technical and leadership roles in industry
  • Access to advanced laboratories in 5G/6G, AI, IoT, Cybersecurity, Data Centres, and Robotics

Available majors

This degree offers every ETAS engineering major — several with named tracks — see the Majors section for details.

Entry requirements

Recognised Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field (CGPA ≥ 2.75 or equivalent), plus English proficiency (IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL iBT 80 or equivalent). Relevant work experience is an advantage; interview or portfolio review may be required for certain majors.

Pathway

Ideal for students targeting fast-track industry careers across Australia, USA, UK, Malaysia, UAE, Southeast Asia, Europe, Africa, and global technology hubs.
